Kimberly and I rode the bike out to Moab, UT a few weeks ago for
Kimberly's birthday. Moab is a pretty cool place, it has the most
mountain bikers per square foot of any place I've been to in my
life. The canyons are totally wild, we did a bit more offroading
than one should normally do on an RS, but it went well.
Thankfully we stopped at the last minute and thought better of the road
we were on... to walk over to the cliff and see the massively steep
dirt road we would have gone down if we hadn't stopped.
We're thinking about going back this weekend with Nate.
Squeeze in one more fun thing before heading to Maryland for longer
than anyone should be subjected to Maryland :)

When we finally decided to stop off-roading....

.....thankfully, as this turned out to be after that turn!

Looking to the right of that canyon

and across the canyon, it's hard to make sense of the depth and distance when you're there.

We
thought about setting up camp at the edge of the canyon here, but
it was SO DANGED HOT, and you'll notice that the trees aren't much for
shade

On our way back home Sunday morning

I'm thoroughly enjoying the K1200RS, it's such an awesome bike. We need to find a good adoptive family for Miles now.
I wish we'd taken photos of Glenwood Canyon on the way out, it's
just east of Glenwood Springs on I-70. It's a beautiful canyon
with a river running through the bottom, and just enough room for one
direction of the highway--the westbound side of 70 is suspended above
the eastbound side. It's really wild.
